Now for Something Different....

Benji and I took advantage of the wonderful weather last night and took some of the snakes out for some updated pictures. More sunny afternoons = more photo ops with the snakelets! They're getting a bit big to pose them all on sheets of scrapbook paper for backdrops. I suppose I'm going to have to get more creative.

This is Benji with one of our Macklots. I think its the female, because she generally has a better attitude about being held.

This, is my male Mojave...'Roland.' He's stunning, and the perfect match for my female. Another year--maaaaybe two--and I hope to have lucy balls from the pair of them!

And then we have 'Plato,' my male spider. He gets brighter with every shed. He's big enough to breed right now, but not willing enough to get the job done. Hmph. Next year....

Ah. Another piece of pride n' joy. My orange ghost boy, 'Tang.' He's growing so fast! And he eats like a PIG.

Well, that about does it. I have one clutch of pastels that are about to be dropped any day now. Hopefully another clutch of those in the works.... This year isn't about to be my big year as far as production goes, but I have certainly acquired a lot of beautiful animals. I hope to acquire a few more this year, too, and work on getting my collection of females a bit bigger. Now, I just have to stay patient....

And the world is green, again.

Summer is fast approaching. I took the girls out the other day to one of our favorite niches in the Park world. There was quite a lot more green everywhere we looked. The wind was roaring in the trees, the sun was beating down all warm and stuff, and there was much play...

And, some attempted robbery...

Rune actually stopped stalking squirrels long enough to focus on posing for a pretty picture.

There was much romping.

Not to be outdone, Ido posed for a few artistic shots...

"Here, get my best side, please..."

I think Monkey stole the show, though.

I mean, seriously.....does it get any freaking cuter than this???

Honestly, the weather was perfect. The scenery was lovely. The dogs were well-behaved, for the most part. I fully count it as a lovely afternoon.

I could be wrong, but I think Rune feels the same way...

I <3 my bird....

Wingnut has officially settled in. He is such a happy, playful little beacon in our lives...we are continuously chuckling over his antics, and Benji loves having some one he can share just about any meal with. I've had a few unexpected days off work, and I do believe Wingers has enjoyed waking up to find me here, for once.

Following his morning bath, Wingnut takes a moment to wig-out....

Its like, the cutest freaking thing on earth to watch. Zomg.

And then we has playtime.

Drinky?

Shenanigans...

Is it too much to ask for a little cooperation? Apparently so....

Even Monkey was giving me 'the look' for shoving a lens in her face for like, the up-teenth time.

"Why me?"

So, I resorted to using bribery.

"Oh, did you say treat?''
Works every time. The hyoomun has many tricks up her sleeve. Freeze dried beef-liver being just one of them.

"Why, of course we will pose for a sickeningly cute photo. Why didn't you ask sooner?"

Rollin' rollin' rollin'....

Keep them doggies rollin'....

Whatever it was, it must have been good...

Ooh Yeeaah....

What harlots!

Oh yes, The Monk was in on it, too...

*sigh*

Spring Fling!

What a day!

Here, we see Rune 1.2 seconds before she sprang for the "invisa-squirrels"...

It was an incredible spring day today. Luckily, I had the day off work, so I was able to spend the entire day outdoors taking full advantage of it all. Rune, Ido and the Monk were in turn able to take full advantage of my chuck-it abilities. Meanwhile, I took further advantage of them with my camera...

Ido kept rolling through all the flowers, it was difficult to get her to remain still for a photo among ones that were not all flattened and plastered to the ground...

Awh.

Rune sez: "This spring thing rocks, dude....there be squirrels everywhere!"

We hung out with a candidate for world's cutest today...his name is 'Scruffy'...
